‘Halloween’ On Location
The festivities kick off on Friday, September 29th, with an extraordinary eight-hour tour that transports attendees to the very streets and locations where the original “Halloween” movie was filmed in the late ’70s. This immersive experience takes fans on a journey to see iconic places such as the Myers house from the original film, as well as the one featured in Rob Zombie’s remake. Laurie Strode’s house, the babysitter’s homes, and even the famous hedge where Michael Myers lurked as he stalked his victims are all stops on this chilling tour. Additionally, since numerous other films were shot in the same area, attendees will get a bonus look at filming locations like the “Nightmare on Elm Street” house and Jim Carrey’s residence from “Liar Liar.”
The Stars of ‘Halloween’
Unlike other conventions that feature celebrities from various film genres, “Halloween: 45 Years of Terror” focuses solely on the “Halloween” franchise. Stars from all 13 films in the series will be in attendance, including those from the much-debated “Halloween III: Season of the Witch.” This unique gathering offers fans the opportunity to meet and interact with actors who portrayed Michael Myers, including the original actor, Nick Castle. Other notable actors from the original film, such as PJ Soles (Lynda Van Der Klok), will also be present. Kristina Klebe, who played the same character in Zombie’s remake, joins the roster along with Daeg Faerch (young Michael) and Ken Foree (Joe Grizzly), who famously battled Michael Myers in the remake.
‘Halloween’ Panels, Tattoos, and More
Throughout the weekend, panels will bring together film enthusiasts to discuss various aspects of the “Halloween” franchise. On Saturday, September 30th, discussions will revolve around the original film, its sequel, and the divisive “Halloween III: Season of the Witch,” which notably diverged from the slasher theme. Sunday, October 1st, will feature panels on “Halloween 4: The Return of Michael Myers,” Zombie’s successful remake, and more.
For those looking to commemorate their love for “Halloween” in a unique way, the Ink Fusion Tattoo Pavilion offers “Halloween”-inspired tattoos. An after-party featuring live music will keep the celebration going, while numerous vendors will be on hand to offer seasonal decorations, clothing, and other merchandise.
